the thought has crossed my mind... that and snipping wires and the like.
Depends if your image is held in the car and downloaded at another time - or is it transmitted directly once taken (they do have some tell-tale aerials).

Only catching up with the Brit's ... they've been putting petrol-filled tyres around fixed cameras for years ... 
I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..
