Spare car in Melbourne?

Post by ducati_paul »

Hi all, thought I'd be cheeky and see if anyone has a spare car in Melbourne they'd be prepared to lend me for the MotoGP? I'm working on the "if you don't ask you don't get" principle :)
I'd be very careful with it and only use it to drive to Cowes and back, and to the track from our accommodation and back i.e. I wouldn't do any running around I didn't need to.
I would not lend it to anyone to drive and it would be locked up when not being used.
In return YOU GET .. a tank full of Petrol (or Diesel ... your choice ;) ... as long as you don't have a dual tank Landcruiser  ) a carton of your favourite beverage and undying love and gratitude!
I'm 45 years old and a careful driver with no crashes, I will be with my Girlfriend and we do Flag Marshalling at the MotoGP, we're flying via Avalon, the car is needed from Thursday 25 Oct to Monday 29 Oct.
Obviously I'd prefer a car with full comprehensive insurance but I will be taking it easy regardless of Insurance cover (not interested in No Insurance thanks!) apparently beggars can be choosers!
PM me if you like :kuda:

Years ago (2006) I got a train from Melbourne to Stony Point train station. Then its a ferry across to Phillip Island. The only problem is getting transport to the track afterwards. Agreed a car would be alot easier.

Cheers Mike, I am also happy to sweeten the deal with a 3 day MotoGP Pass (finders fee? ;) ) the only condition is it'll have to be picked up from the Island as I wont get it until I'm there.

I've got a skyline for sale for $500 if you want it. It needs a Power steering leak fixed, which I can't afford to do. Leaking bottom hose which is apparently common.
