You guys in NSW get your plates cheap as bro.

A 'name' plate down here goes for a 1-off fee - sounds good - until you see the cost. $2200.

Even getting something like 'GOS 1' for my bike, would cost me in excess of $1500 for a 1-off fee.

I agree with the calls for a petition though, this has *nothing* to do with road safety and everything to do with sucking money out of people who want something different on their plates. When was the last time a personalised plate created a safety issue ?? Its bullshit. Good luck !

majority if times i see a custom plate attached to a wanker hence i call them wanker plates

and on top of that having a wanker plate and doing something dumb means people will see it and easily remember your plate

Personally i prefer a normal plate , at least if i am doing something dumb or stupid or noisy then people are a lot less likely to remember who i am
