Flywheels recommend pirelli Angel. For my Poof style of riding. $285 fitted with a chain adjust. See how we go with this as there is so much choice. The guys out there are doing all my work and a lot of little stuff for free. Hopefully he gives me the right advice.

From what I have heard, you will be wasting your money on a pure sports tyre, so a sports tourer like the Bridgestone BT023, Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart, Pilot Road 3s, Pirelli Angels, etc. will be the way to go and any one of them will be good enough for how you ride.

i have metzler sporttec m5 tires on my Z750, it's my weekly ride and weekend mountain ride, iv currently done 5,400ks,
and i would say there is more than 50% treed left, fucking brilliant tire i have never had a problem with them, they stick really well and have good lean angle, witch ever tires you choose hope they keep ya upright

Make sure you look at the manufactor date. It is in a little rectangle and will be a number like 1011. That means it was manufactored the 11th week of 2011. Some of these discount places buy old tires and sell them for discounts because there way old. I'm no expert but from what I've read 3 years is too old. The rubber and the chemicals that make the tire sticky deteriorate. Jim Beam lasts forever.

Had my CBR400 tyres replaced a few weeks ago, and according to Michael from Whites Racing Products....they were one of the worst tyres and the worst combo hes seen on the bike. Was a 90's touring tyre with the wrong profile and with cracks running all over the place...........lol.

He was trying to point out the year the tyres were manufactured from those numbers...........before that, I never even noticed that those numbers meant anything.

The tyres were so hard I think I could have rode around on them for 100,000k's without wearing them out.

The handling was night and day. I think Jonnymac and Oldmans advice should be a sticky. Plenty of people (like me) who judge a tyre just by their thread depth..........

I ended up with the diablo on the rear and Angel on the front. Happy with both after the hawksbury run. Rain doesn't seem to be an issue either. Was pudding down last night and felt really safe. Suit my style so far.

I am on about - oh- my 7th set of M5's , I think its fair to say they are bloody great. They work on my ZRX and they work on my Z1000, fast road, cold track doesnt matter, wet eather, it doesnt matter they do everything better than I need.
