arai rx-q visor?

Post by vanrootn »

Just bought a new helmet :kuda:

Anyone know where i can get a tinted visor for the rx-q at a decent price? After paying $800 for a helmet i dont think its right that they then say give us another $80 for a tinted visor :x

Shame the visor off my old arai doesnt fit

Does anyone have any experience with aftermarket visors? Good or bad?

thanks - Pete

Unless your old Arai is pre ADSIS, or that they have changed them for the RXQ, then any ADSIS Arai visor should fit. My visors from my old Arai (Can't remember the model name, but it was made in 1988, fits my Vector. Both ADSIS visors.

As to after market, I am sorry but have no suggestions, as I always opt for the exxie genuine Arai Visor. I find if looked after, they last longer than the helmet :?

No, it certainly doesn't fit! My old helmet was a Viper Gt (7 years old now)

From what I have read the new corsair v and vector 2 are the same deal also....

Might just have to fork out the extra cash :?

My Omni fits my Vector, so I guess maybe they changed it for the Vector 2. Bastards.

Any old aftermarket visor will not do. I got checking into why they are so fucking expensive. It's because the are made of polycarbon which is bullet prof technology. They test the prototypes by shooting a 22 caliber pellet gun at them. I'm now willing to pay the price for a known good visor. Cheers.

that's one of the great things about Adelaide. Fit news tyres, be in the Hills in 15 minutes and scrubbed in in 17 minutes! :) I loved it over there for riding. Both girls and bikes. Corner after corner, dirty girl after dirty girl. The corners and the dirty girls are all prolific in Adelaide. There are a few of both I would like to catch up with again!! :) :)
