I watched the entire segment, the lead into it, the slagging and the aftermath the next day. You can assume all you like about what I have or haven't watched, your incorrect assumptions still don't justify the position you have taken on this issue.

If you want context - how about the number of major companies that have now pulled millions of dollars worth of advertising contracts from The Circle ??? Do you think for one second that these companies are seeing anything in the same *context* as you ?? Or perhaps from the same context that the rest of the country has seen these comments in ? They are not pulling contracts because they think what was said was funny or just a laugh or harmless or anything like that.

There is a difference between having a harmless crack at someone, or insulting them. You cleary are incapable of understanding this difference. I guess you are also a Kyle Sandilands supporter ?? He is another major fuckstick of the highest order.

Just want to clear a couple of things that may have been implied incorrectly-
1) Kyle is a twat who makes comments to make headlines, any correlation between him and the circle are way off the mark
2) Gosling I never said you were in the army, however you are passionate about those who are. This is typified by insulting comments (none taken personally as this is robust discussion and it goes with the territory) Being passionate about anything makes it difficult to be objective, eg try convince a Busa fan that a 14 is better than the Busa.
3) We now know 2 of the 4 people who watch the circle, you lads need to get a daytime job, doesn't say much for the offerings at 9.30am. Suggest watching Business day on 2, much better for the finances
4) I have never back tracked, look at the posts, I have and still maintain this has been blown way out of proportion and true to form the media wagon jumpers are hitching a ride. Have a think about this -Considering that the majority of news headlines come out of AAP and are regurgitated around the country via the various media platforms someone dropped the AAP a heads up, perhaps a rival channel as this was not news worthy.
5) If anyone thinks that the sponsors that have pulled the pin have done so for any reason other than publicity are kidding themselves. They don't care about the comments, they care about public perception, don't they just look peachy pulling their sponsorship in support of the sapper. Having worked in sales and marketing for near on 20 years I can assure the very reason they sponsored the show in the first place was because the demographic they were targeting happen to watch the show (who would have thought that would be Gosling and Aardy!) The marketing team at 10 know that the general population has a memory shorter than a gold fish, they also know that this publicity will give them a spike in their audience numbers as people will be intrigued to watch, a bit like watching a train wreck. We don't want to but our morbid fascination draws us to watch and like a moth to flame the sponsors will come back as they will see value in advertising on that show.
6) Just because you don't announce it across a media platform doesn't alter your level of indifference.

I really don't care for either of the two presenters, but to be vilified, to have death threats and threats made against the children is way over the top which is what precisely happened when the media band wagon jumpers got on board, the mob mentality took over and thought that by abusing and sending threats is someway supporting the soldier. I think not.
