Cafe Racer, name your favourite spots.

Post by kiwi-jono »

Quite often on a lazy Saturday or Sunday I find myself wanting to go for a ride, but somewhere that incorporates a good feed along the way.
So my question, for the people in the know is where are your favourite places to go for a ride and get a bit of pub n grub?

If you want to go somewhere close the pub at Rylstone is quite good, you get to do the Putty, Bylong road and Bells. Well it ain't close but the ride is good.

Kangaroo Valley pub also good but a little on the expensive side for pub food,

Walhalla bakery, Blackwood hotel, Dargo Hotel, Toolangi Tavern, Licola general store,Noojee general store,Woods point Hotel.
Drive 4by more than 2 wheels these days and found all of the above great places to stop and all are surrounded by magnificent bike roads thats never get a mention. Bendoc hotel anyone?

Not keen on St Alban's Pub due to slow service and lack of variety of tap beers..... Nice ride though

Bike friendly, reasonable prices, service, food range and quality
Wollombi Pub
Colo Heights servo (licenced)
General Store Spencer AKA The Tree of Knowledge (licenced)
Cockfighter Creek Tavern Bulga
Imperial Hotel Singleton
Tarana Pub
TAB Globe Pub Rylestone
Kurrajong Heights Pub
Apple Bar Bilpin

Nice, but more expensive and slow service at busy times
Harrigans Hotel Pokolbin
Wisemans Ferry Pub

just off the top of my head
