Ok so I was on my merry way to the Motorbike show with a mate yesterday when I encountered my first problem with my bike. While I was riding at a constant speed the throttle felt as if it cutting in and out with me not moving it at all but I rolled off the throttle and back on and it seemed to go away. Then 5 mins down the road it happened again but more severe and I happened to look down at the dash and I noticed that the dash turned off and on again, just like when the ignition is turned on. This kept going for another minute before the bike shut off and I had to roll into a side street.
I had the RACQ guy (who told me he had a few bikes of his own) test the battery and everything was fine there apparently - aka it had enough voltage and was charging ok.
Does anyone know what the problem might be?

2006 ZX6R Strange Electrical Problem
I had similar in a car once. Turned out to be an electrical wire had started earthing after rubbing against something. Look around the bike in particular the sidestand switch. See if any wires are loose. You have anything aftermarket? Could be a wire from something like a speedohealer or similar not installed properly. Hope this helps

Yeah sounds like something shorting out hey.
Did the NRMA did check the terminals were done up tight? Could be loose connection?

Sorry for the late reply. After getting it sent to a mechanic, he found that the battery was dead. There were/are no other problems surprisingly. Im still shocked that my battery died mid ride though.
