Fitz - you're becoming unreadable again ... slow down and punctuate.
I know you can - I saw it once ...
I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..
If it's got wheels or tits, it's gonna give you trouble !

As Seiko so rightly said, flames are for a 50's hotrod and look very cool on such, not for a 2012 ultra hyper mega speed producing missile. Flames are for wanker wanna be's! Good to see you showing your true colours still TyM2Go.

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

Apart from that, I would love one in the shed. Another great toy to go dust up sports bike wannabees on a sunday!!
I like the flames myself but I thought they were only on the US version

Oh well I must be a wanker wannabe then I'm happy with that
well strike for an ultra mega speed producing missile I'd like to think flames would be the best possible graphics on it considering its the fastest bike out for now but meh your entitled to your opinion just as much as i am entitled to mine

now forget about the flames hahaha, how much better and sportier does it look with that seat cowl and grab handle removed. it gone from a cool sports tourer to out right sex on wheels.
My old neighbour bought a 1098 privately without a test ride. Rode it home approx 13 km which according to him was uncomfortable & hated it. That same day he spent most it organising his CTP, the cheapest he stated was $901 pa. supposebly he has a reasonable insurance history.
The bike sold a week later, he lost $1800.
Moral of story.
A straight line throttle jockey's wallet is inversely proportional to there level of intellect.
At the time of putting the deposit down, there were no demonstrators available to ride. Riding the bike home, even though the bike may be the most powerful, fastest production bike on the planet, I found the whole experience a little boring. It was an impulse buy and i guess I got caught up in the hype, forgetting that the bike is a hyper sports tourer.
In terms of touring, the bike does what it was built for extremely well, effortless rip your arms off acceleration when you want it, also quiet and tame when you dont, absorbs all the bumps in the road very well which makes for a comfortable ride and still tackles corners with ease. It's just not the bike for me, Im after something a little more raw, firmer ride, noisier etc. It was never going to be a commuter or long distance tourer for me, just a toy to have fun from time to time and unfortunately it doesnt do that for me. Lesson learnt, take your time and dont buy without test ride.
