Not good news, really. Anthony has again signed with a second-rate team. That's the reason why he should have taken a sabbatical this year, recharged his batteries and then went looking for a ride (in a team that could actually win) later this year, so he was well set for 2013. Anthony's career has been one of going from one second-string team to another, you can't make it to the top like that.

I would think the only thing worse than racing in a shit team is not racing at all... You got to hang around and stay in people's minds...

I'm sorry, but I disagree. Nothing degrades the confidence of the rider and depletes his reputation in the eyes of others than racing for 15th place on a bike that is always going to be 10 seconds off the pace. I stand by my original statement that Ant should have taken a year off.

Terry O'Neill popped this up about Westy. Read carefully though, as it only says one round....................

"For those that may be interested below is a link to the FX FaceBook page where there is a press release from Aluma-Lite announcing that Anthony West will race the Derek Williams Aluma-Lites BMW S1000RR in the FX-Superbike class at the first round of the YMF Loan Yamaha Australian FX-Superbike Championship at Eastern Creek Raceway on the 17-18th March.

Long time Aluma-Lites campaigner Johnny Allen will also make a come back in the Pro-Twins class on a Ducati 1198.

Terry

Well the Beemer should be quick enough u would think?? guess it depends on how good the team is to, they ran dukes for the last couple of sessions, time will tell, but i reckon he should go ok there.

Yeah but first time on a bike is always a touch and go area. I would think they would use it more as set up time then point acquiring for the series.
