Ohlins steering dampener

Post by Mel »

HI everyone,

My sister wants to buy an Ohlins steering dampener for her boyfriend's b'day (he rides a yamahahaha but apart from that he's actually a top bloke).

Where is the best place to buy these from? They are kind of leaning towards buying something local (they are on the gold coast) as the current one he has got he bought from the states and has had a billion kinds of dramas with it.

I thought probably their local dealer but thought I'd put the question out and see if you guys knew the best and awesomest place (price and service).

Thanks!

What was wrong with the one bought from the states? Wrong model, poor service? It would have to be an absolute massacre horror story for me to want to buy anything like that through a dealer here.

The current one was some other brand and.......... I have no idea how these things work (I turned mine off) it needs.... something done to it every few rides, so they are a bit scared off in case 'something' goes wrong, hence wanting to buy local :)

If it was me I'd buy one from the states and if something went wrong just suck it up, which they might end up doing, but thought it worth asking the question :kuda:
