No car?

No car - (well I do, but I don't commute in it!). Had a company car at my last job, but threw that in and now I catch the train to work every day. Don't bother riding my bike because I cbf'd having to pack my suit in my ventura bag then having to get changed when I get here. And my leather jacket smells like arse. So sitting in a suit smelling like arse is not a turn on for me!

I am in the same vote. I am looking at using my bike as my main commute since it takes 1 hour for me to drive to work then 1 hour to drive back home. so going to reduce premiums on the car, get insurance on the bike and use the bike as my daily commute. CHeaper to run fuel and maintenance wise.

As suggested by other going to leave my work clothes at work, ride full protected gear then change at work. WHen the day is over then change back into my protective gear.

I was commuting to work on bike and shopping on bike ( i haven't owned a car since 2000)
... but i got lazy and my dress standards got more and more casual every week... so only do it if you have a place to hang up your work gear at work seems to be my recommendation

when it came to shopping.. weekly food shopping for myself fitted nicely in the tank bag and rjays rack bag.

the hardest bit i found was working out how to strap a carton of beer on... but found if you stop drinking beer and go with spirits it fits easier

thats what i'm doing now. had to buy bed linnen the other day had a big bag, 2 pillows, QB doona, and sheets amazed myself made it all fit
improvising is a common practice now
