Our serving defence personal!

Post by SNAFU »

Just a quick word to our serving defence members and their families to say thank you and although many of you are far from home I am thinking of all of you on this Australia day 2012.

Come home safe to us and thank you all for the job you are doing.

There has been a fair bit of talk lately about so called hero's jumping on unarmed ship's, but I think most right minded Aussie's know who the real hero's are.

Thanks everyone!
It is funny when I was serving oversea's if you had asked me if I should go home I would have told you to bugger off. To the bring them home brigade I say this. I had mates die over sea's and in training in country. If you speak to their families and friends and said they should have come home alive you would very surprised from their reaction. It all very well to say bring em home from the safety of this country having never been in harms way. I think the only people who have an informed opinion and true prospective on this subject are those that have been on two way firing range and most of us would not have changed a thing. As I said I don't give a rat's crack about the bring em home argument I will leave that to the pollies, those who think they are wiser than me and the ill informed. All I just wanted to do was say thank you to to the fine service personal of this wonderful country.

When we were up in the middle east last year patrolling the seas, the blokes who boarded the jap ship would either have been shot or looking down the barrel of 10 guns, with there act of piracy

But any who its good to get the support from home, and not media portraying as Criminals
