Dodgy spark plug in 05' ZX6

Post by BrettP1975 »

G'day folks,
Kinda spewed today, took my ZX636 down to the bike shop this morning for suspected blown exhaust gaskets, (to me that's what it really sounded like as there seemed to be no real loss of power), when I rang to see how the bike was going they said nothing wrong with gaskets, the popping sound I could hear was number 3 spark plug had "popped out", got me buggered how a plug pops out???

Just my f'ing luck....

Shit mate, spark plug popping out sounds ominous. It might be fucked and need a new head? Maybe they have already helicoiled it and the heli has failed? Tell ya what, just to save you the puss and pain. I'll take that crappy old 636 off your hands for $50 and I'll even collect it! :D

seems plug makers are going to shit
recently had 2 brand new quality jap name brand plugs (3 letters, you guess) in my v8 ute blow the ceramic out of the plug body (the metal bit). no silly 100394:1 compression, just a pair of shit plugs.
also had some german plugs in my stink weed just die same week. just lost continuity between terminal and electrode.

and then the mower has the terminal of the plug just fall out. plug less than a month old.

just crap manufacturing (probobly all made in china anyway!)
