Bike registration
Just curious as to how much each state charges for your bike rego.
Just got mine in the mail. $550!
From memory, that's much dearer that when I lived in Melbourne.

Re: Bike registration
Mine is $530 in SA! Has gone up a lot in the last few years might have something to do with my progression from 50 - 250 - 1000cc's though

Re: Bike registration
I can't remember exactly what it was last year, around $520- $550 I think. This year $112 for rego and $375.12 for green slip = $487.12 = Not to bad...h.b.bear wrote:Last year for zxr $104.00 for rego + $407.11 for green slip =$511.11 but i think i read on here green slips will be a bit cheaper this year

Re: Bike registration
Cheap compared to up here! Below figure for 12 months! Vehicle inspections are compulsory as well no inspection required for first 5 years on a new vehicle, 5 to 10 yrs old - every 2nd year, 10 or older every year!

Re: Bike registration
I think my rega was about $200 for the year (single seat). But in Qld all bikes are the same price though if you have one seat its half price

Re: Bike registration
Oh and even more particularly thread related it's around $550-$575 metro Victoria and some $200 less if you live in a regioanl area, theory is that the TAC thinks you are far less likely to be involved in an accident in regional areas. Rego fee is the same state wide, TAC premium is reduced somehwat, this only came to light to me recently after Possum posteed her rego details and I made a phone call to Vic Roads confirming the above.
