get your test light ,prick the wires with it at different places to see how far power is actually travelling before you lose it,plus you could try all connections and check your earth lead

when you say your getting power every where what is actually the problem,no spark,no power when ignition is switched on ,maybe if youve been playing with ignition switch you havnt re conected wires properly:?

Re: Re-wiring Zx750 p
Check the sidestand switch, and also the clutch switch - if either of these are open, the bike won't start. Are you still using the ignition switch ?

ok ill have a look, but if i have my tester light plugged in and turn the ignition on it lights up and vice versa, there is power getting to everything except the tail lights, but if i turn it on there is power everywhere but nothing works , i just dont understand, if there is power right up to say the headlights they should be working

Like above check earth- should have heavy wire from negative battery to engine case- rubber mounted engine in your bike makes this even more critical. I ran extra earth wires on my GT550 for the same reason.

ok the ground on the engine is fine, does anyone have a pic or diagram of the clutch switch, is it attached to the clutch handle or is it in the block?
