Hi S Man. I am looking for a ZRX to purchase so if you decide to go with a Z1000 I may be interested in the ZRX. I don't know if that makes your desion easier or harder.
Sounds like we have 2 winners out of this. I'd grab it and run.....quickly if it were me.
Yeah, I did see that - but the only ones I can seem to find are black (which is ok) and orange (yuk!). If they had a green the same as the 11 model I could almost be tempted back to a kwak...

Hang on Benno, I was thinking you were after the Ninja 1000, the Zed is only black or orange for 2012 You need to find an 11 model

Phil::: Not to quick, Ive only ridden it about 3 times this summer[less than 300ks] & want to enjoy it a bit longer..
I owned a Z1000 08 model & a ZRX1200R @ the same time , the ZRX1200R always was faster "but" the Z1000 felt more aggressive & quicker seat of your pants even though it wasnt quicker than the ZRX . my opinion "dont sell the ZRX" for a Z1000 , you will regret it long term .

Oh now what to do?? I really like the Z1000 Ninja, but I realy love the ZRX, But I want a new bike. Im not racing anymore so I think I deserve a bit of spoiling. Plus this will be my last bike, im 55 this year, so my riding days are getting fewer & fewer, as I only like to ride on nice sunny days. So I want to give myself a retirment present, theres nothing wrong with that. But man its hard to take the leap..But If the ZRX doesnt sell Im not gonna cry about it, I love it & I'll keep it, & im not gonna trade it to a dealer that will give me pennys & sell it for thousands, the scabs.

Steve, are you trying to use logic to make your decision - can I suggest you just do what you want - dont try and justify it .
I can see nothing wrong with your reasoning, all sound like perfect reasons to me. It is much the same as what I was going through when I was tossing up getting the forks, I had always wanted them - so I got them - some poo poo'd the idea............... I have to say I dont regret my decision one bit.
You need to find an 11 model
