The 24-year-old had never obtained a riding licence and on January 9, he passed the theory exam.

The 2010 MotoGP champion posted an image of himself happy of his achievement on his official Facebook page. Lorenzo captioned the image with: “Although it sounds like a joke, i just pass the motorcycle theory test! (sic)”.

To obtain a motorcycle license in Spain, riders must reportedly answer 40 questions about Spanish traffic laws in 40 minutes which are taken out of a 300-plus page manual.
