Zxr750m1 starter

Post by NickSA »

Hi guys does anyone know what would be required to fit a starter to an m1 which has been converted to total loss system with race kit oil pump drive etc... I don't care if it doesn't have an alternator as I'll only use it at the track I'm just sick of using rollers just so I can start the thing. Also did the m1 use a standard starter and was there any kit parts used on endurance racers of the period that are relevant.

Cheers

You'll possibly need to go right back to an OEM clutch and gearbox, unless you can find a kit endurance-spec alternator/oil pump drive. Kit clutch housing, which drives the kit oil pump chain, isn't necessarily compatible with an OEM oil pump drive and alternator drive.

Do not walk alongside me, for the path may be narrow
