Yeah should be good, all l will have to do is learn to ride it, haven't been on a Black Track for a long time, last l think was Lake Side in 93 ish on a 851 Duke so been a while, but l always said l would like to ride the Island, so perfect oppotunity, at the moment it has an 016 on the front and a Q2 on the rear which im finding ok, what would you suggest for the track day, l dont expect l'll be going that hard but will have a bit of a go. Rode an RZ500, RG500, VF1000R and then the Duke 851, so a bit of time on the tar but was along time ago...............

Tyre choice will be a bit hard, as ur then riding it home, arnt u?
About all i can say is if ur going to change them, here or before u leave, 190 on the rear, most of the guys that do the island run a 190, 200 is the wrong profile for the island.
I only run slicks, so i cant really advice on treaded rubber there. but dunlops seem to be the tyre of choice a lot.
But they will have tyres for sale there on the day, they sell dunlops.
There is a guy on this forum, macca, who does the riders briefing, and he can recomend which ones are the go...
Maybe u can shoot him a pm, his user name is maccarocks... u may have seen some of his posts.

Thank's Born Green, yeah will be riding her home, so have to be a bit careful with Tyre choice and the way l ride at the track, how are you Maxumis, yeah they are worth there weight in gold now the old RG500, mine at the moment is having a complete engine rebuild, not worn out but to much sitting around before l bought it, had the chance to buy an RZ500 not long ago would love to have the pair sitting in the shed but l bought the TSS500 and then the ZRX instead maybe one day..

Thanks mate, thats the one, i had a brain fade....
Dont know how much u want to spend, but maybe if ur tyres are buggered by the time u get here, u can throw a new set on for the day, then ride home on them, but bear in mind the island is hard on tyres.... and no matter how easy u say u will take it..... that will go out the window when u start cuttin laps!!! and with that sort of HP and weight, u will give them a hard time..... but bugger that i say, and just cut loose and have fun... P/I is not hard to learn, its just fast :) :) turn 3 is awesome :D :D

OK, forget what BG said about tyres and my interesting night :). He's got a ZX7R and A ZX10R. Both of which can run 190's. The ZRX is way better with a 180 on the rear. A 190 pulls around on the rim too much and gives less ctc patch at full lean.

If you need to ride home on the tyres you use at the track day, then don't put soft compound race rubber on it. It won;t get you home to Brisvegas. :) Well I wouldn't make it, that's for damn sure.

As far as what to run, I'm not gunna suggest anything as whatever I suggest will be boohood by some. Just work out what you like and get them. I'm sure if they are round, black and hold air, they will be fine.
