I may be slow but ... EC Entry

I was going to Eastern Creek yesterday and exiting the M4 coming from the city direction I noticed that it had a sign for the Track pointing to the left instead of the usual right!!?? I had a little bit of spare time so went left and promptly got lost so doubled back, but looking at it on google maps and Nearmap I should have then taken the first right and it brings you up past the Go Kart track which saves the detour onto the Great Western Highway! am I the only one in Sydney that didn't know of this shortcut?
