Your thought on the purchase
Your thought on the purchase
Hi guys,
I just purchased an 05 'crim' in titanium. The bike has a micron full system and is quite neat. It only has 6600klms on the clock. I cant wait for its arrival, as I bought it interstate (not a repairable write-off).
I paid $7990 with delivery into Sydney (no rego).
I think I got a deal, but what are some suggestions on what to change eg brakes, sprockets??

Nice choice.. but I am biased..
Drop one tooth on the front, add a steering damper, if the front brakes aren't up to scratch change the calipers to Nissins or CBR Tokico's.

Never any need to modify 14's to make them the ultimate power houses!

The new one, (2012 ZX14) in a U.S. rag, (Cycle World) has 191 rear wheel HP and stock turned a 9.71 second 147 MPH 1/4 mile. This is totaly stock. They increased the cc's to 1441 by increasing the stroke. I want one. Cheers!seiko1 wrote:Never any need to modify 14's to make them the ultimate power houses!![]()
Re: Your thought on the purchase
Thanks for the advice guys. I preciously had a gumby, and a couple of dukes. The bike has a Toby steering damper on it currently. Don't know much about them but might change to a ohlins.
Once I get the bike, I'll take it out and see if it will need the front dropped a little.

Sounds like a good pickup mate with such low klm's. They are an awesome bike, I loved mine but the old back didn't so much.
It's really all about standing around drinking Dave's beer.

Re: Your thought on the purchase
Yeh, that was the story with this one. Guy owned it but found it uncomfortable to ride. I bought it from a dealer in melb and I am looking forward to riding it. I've taken a risk as I have not seen or ridden it but well soon see.
Can't wait to crack it open and here the micron full system (still would prefer an akra) but I have not complaints..........yet
