I don't know what avenue you've got to protest it, maybe check with the RTA.

As far as I'm aware an aftermarket exhaust only has to conform to the original sound level for that bike. There are a number of sound levels depending on the age of the bike. The stationary rating is made at the rpm where the engine is making half it's (stock) maximum power. The noise measurements are taken during stable operation and decel to idle. The maximum reading becomes the recorded value.JPaddo wrote:
