Southern Sydney if possible.
Thanks, Jenny

Re: Blue Slip Inspections
Dont know if it is common but up here our toyota dealership does it,but that could be a one off thing
Re: Blue Slip Inspections
Apparently the reason bike shops don't do it is because you need to be certified for a wide range of vehicles. No such thing as "bikes only" certification.
Most friendly motorcycle mechanics have a "go-to" place for blue slips. Just give your local mechanic a call and ask who they use. Usually a car dealer or something.

Hi Jenny - the local RTA ( or whatever they're called these days ) will have a list of authorised blue-slip inspection stations.
I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..

Re: Blue Slip Inspections
Highway performance bikes in Banksia do them, though i'm not sure how much of a trek for you this would be. Make sure it doesn't leak or smoke, thinks light up when they should and the basics are legal and you should be ok.

Also you can check the local paper/s (Leader/Torch) in the motoring section or classifieds you will probably find a car mechanical place advertising that they do them...

Re: Blue Slip Inspections
FWIW, no such thing as a blue slip anymore in NSW, its a white slip. Any work shop that does white slips on cars are authorised to do them on bikes as well.
That may sound stoopid as the workshop may have NFI about bikes; but thats the way the the old RTA had set i up.

Jennysc, ring your local bike shop, they usually have a few on the list to do the 2nd hand bikes that lapse in rego, had one done recently for an interstate purchase and all he did was check numbers, a quick brake test and put his hand out for $34, all done without any problems.

Re: Blue Slip Inspections
It's still called a blue slip, It's just that it's printed on white paper just like a pink slip.blackster wrote:FWIW, no such thing as a blue slip anymore in NSW, its a white slip. Any work shop that does white slips on cars are authorised to do them on bikes as well.

Didn't get any funny looks when I asked for it @ AUVIS or from the RTA when I asked for it; in order to register a bike.EVOSTi wrote:It's still called a blue slip, It's just that it's printed on white paper just like a pink slip.blackster wrote:FWIW, no such thing as a blue slip anymore in NSW, its a white slip. Re: Blue Slip Inspections
So how did they know whether to give you a pink or blue slip?

Re: Blue Slip Inspections
I asked for a blue slip originally, was told no longer called that; you need a white slip (not the carbonized white copy you may be referring too).EVOSTi wrote:So how did they know whether to give you a pink or blue slip?
