Time for a new helmet.

Post by z900/zx9 »

Well as my xr1000 shoei is getting on to 7 years old and done a shitload of ks im looking for a replacement.
It is out of the shoei xr1100 or spend a few more bucks and get a x-12,i am leaning towards the x-12 but just not sure what it will be like for normal road use and touring as it is a different fit to the xr1000,and xr1000 and it is avaertised as a more race type of helmet. what do ya reckon ??????

Aria vector.
been wearing a suomy for last 12 odd years, and was looking at another one, till i tried the vector on, just feels so nice, and have done a few track days with it, and still just as happy. try one on and see mal, unless ur set on a shoei, amx sell them to, so go and suss em out.

Well i just bit the bullet and ordered x-12 vermulen helmet. On special $809.00.Amx dont stock x-12 models and considering that the best price i got was $1,000 for the desighn i wanted was a kionary 2 i just couldnt justify $200 for a paint job.So this way i got helmet, extra dark visor and fog guard for $968 delivered of course from a aussie site so will have aust standards i should see me right for the next few years.
In the pic it doesnt show the metalflake over the top of the helmet so its not only shinny but sparlkly as well.

Time for a new helmet.

Yeh it's always been part of it and they do check occasionally but it's no biggy you just have to sign a waiver, one of my mates got one from the states and that's all he was required to do
