Wow! Amazing that some of these guys call themselves mechanics.

Surely they've been to TAFE or whatever and have countless hours of training and experience... far more than you'll ever accumulate in a lifetime. Surely this all adds up to them > you when it comes to servicing your bike?

Does remind me of painters though... If you want to paint your house properly, do it yourself... but if you want it done quick and dirty, pay someone. The prices some of these mechanics charge though it's questionable whether they are even quicker than a DIY job.

when i had my rx 1000 a good shop in blacktown did a service and left one of the hoseclamps on the intage manifolds loose which vibrated around i changed down for a corner and the bitch bolted to 160 and wouldnt stay up what happened was the clamp had a realy long screw and caught on the throttle linkage holding the throttle open had to take the wheel of to get it off the power pole unfortunately there was no way to prove blame last dealer service i have had in 20 years
If it aint broke don't fix it just gain more horsepower

These are the things that I can see. They also did the shims 24000km service. Surely they couldn't have buggered anything else up.

I just wish that they showed the same care and attention as I do for my bike. After all, they did receive $700 for a major service and battery. I didn't even consider negotiating their price. I figured if it takes them most of the day and they look after it, I'll pay what they ask. To get it back with so many neglectful mistakes is just crap.
