motor and box

hey guys i git a zxr9 97 model with just last week blowing the box , the kawasaki dealer want 1200 just for labour to crack open and find the problem , am i better off with and 2nd hand box and motor and just do a complete swap, if so does anyone no where a b motor for a 97 model can be found have found plenty of c motor and boxes but app they dont fit, also would a larger engine from equivalant year model fir , thanks

thanks mate did look that up already my motor is fine its actually the box im after but was trying to get a motor and box together and just do a complete swap ive been told the 98 model doesnt even fit in the 97 so im guessing got to find that exact year cheers anyway

94 to 97 will fit. C model is completely different. I ended up rebuilding mine as there was only one B model motor available at the time and the seller was a total arse. He sold it eventually and made my decision for me. If you want to do the whole swap I suggest you grab that motor now. They don't come up very often. Otherwise you better start getting your hands dirty. ;)
