Short trip

Post by oldman »

My wife, dogs and I went on a short trip to a place called Capitol Reef. We did a lot of hiking and I thought you might enjoy the pictures. My old dog died when we got back. I think she over did it on the trip. I miss her but she really enjoyed her last days. Cheers!

Sorry to hear about the dog :(

In Australia when we talk about reefs there's normally water involved! ;)

Thanks for posting that up Oldman. That was bloody interesting to check out. Where about is it?

Also condolences on the pooch passing away. We bloody well get attached to the little buggers and then they go and kark it the little buggers. I guess you must be quietly pleased that she had such an interesting and fun last few days. RIP little doggy.

Thanks for all the thoughts. I miss my pal, but she was 16, almost blind, mostly deaf and I miss the old girl. Anyway capitol Reef is Southeast of Salt Lake City, about 200 miles, (easy four hour drive). My father introduced me to it in the late sixties. There are many unexplored regions in the park, but one needs ropes and climbing gear to get to most of them. There is a narrow two lane road that for about 1/2 mile drops off on both sides from 500 to a 1,000 feet, it kind of puckers my arsehole when driving over it. I think Australia has a lot more open country that has been untouched than the U.S. and I would love to spend some time in your beautiful country exploring it. Cheers. :D :) :( :) :D :kuda:
