Racing categories

I was wondering, where would one look to view the road racing categories available, if one was thinking of getting into a form of road racing?

One has always wanted to have a go at racing and thought, why not now......given one's obvious love of bikes.

One would only be interested in racing a green bike....

Google is good.. cant help u with tassie, but sure there would be a club or two around.
In vic, we got a few, but thats prob to far to jump on the ferry every round?
