Zzz engine failure.....compatibility?
Hey all, went over to my cousins today because he was having some trouble with his zzr250. Anyway after doing this and that we found the one of the inlet rockers had a broken locator and had stuffed the inlet cam & the vaLve head. With the noise it was making before we pulled it apart I would positive that the valve has damaged the head. My cousin has decided instead of fix the head, a replacement motor would be a better idea. We have found a '10 250 motor out of a baby ninja complete with carbies and 4xxx k's on it for $600 (buy it now for $800) with 1 day and a bit to go no bids. The question is, are there any differences that will cause issues putting it into a zzr?

Yep - should be a bolt-in affair. $800 for a motor from a 2010 model is pretty good value, you should get a few years out of that without any drama....

Cool thanks for the replies!! Yeah was thinking along the same lines, near new motor for that price seems good and with the carbies even better less hassle.
