Curb Weight and LAMS

Post by GPZ_Jim »

with the factories quoting curb weights instead of fresh from the crate dry weight (about time) I did some thinking about the whole 150kw/tonne thing..

by my numbers (206kg, 44kw) the Versys squeaks under the limit with almost 2kw/t to spare! :D :kuda:

this wont apply in the ACT cos they use 68kg rider weight instead of 90 but I am wondering if that would mean you could unleash the full mumbo in say nsw, etc without causing kitten genocide..

any thoughts?

You could always contact the RTA's call centre & explain yourself & ask to speak to a manager & get them to look into it using the revised weights & hp. They seemed quite happy to help me with my queries when i called them a few years ago regarding lams laws.
