Just bought my new toy today through the help and advise of Kawadave(Dave) and comments from other members about these bikes.Legally i cant ride this for 12 months until i get back on to a full licence
but that didnt stop me from taking a little test run and as Dave said you will love it and guess what i do,being 6"3 and 106kilos i found the bike suits me very well but its just going to be a long 12months
ps its a 2003 model, has 21,500kms and i found one little sratch down near the brake lever

Re: What's your bike??? (details and small pic )
Few mods to the 12.
Full system (Tsukigi). Quieter than the Yoshi at Idle, which I like, but throatier.

Dyno chart - big big gains (although small flat spot at 2k). (142 stock = wtf? ZX12 is supposed to be over 160 rear wheel stock although the guy told me a good reading for zx10 with full system would be 155 which sounds about right for a dyno that is out by ~20hp compared to all the optimistic charts floating around)

PS big thumbs up to Motorcycle Weaponry... if you need dyno done... top notch
EDIT: NOT top notch! Seems they got the teenage apprentice to fit the thing??? Despite taking their premium hourly rate???
a) burned a hole in an oil cooler radiator hose because they couldn't pop a hose into a mounting bracket (unbelievable). To top it off replacement hose was on @!#(* back order.
b) Cracked one of my ram air covers because they didn't remove the rivet screw before trying to remove the fairing
Rearsets and "CSG frame sliders"

Oh and to prove I actually ride it on occassion

Re: What's your bike??? (details and small pic )
thats a nicely kept machine Paddo.
Did you do a baseline run before the new Tsukigi on the same dyno?
It is all about gains from a baseline on the same dyno, every dyno is calibrated differently to suit the operator depending on how honest they are
and changes again depending on atmosphere and other variables, that's my understanding.
I have a chart done in Sydney by the previous owner on my 2006 ZX12R @ 188rwhp, local dyno read the same bike @ 167rwhp (i think) and my 2011 ZX10R at 151rwhp /pcv+ akra, so you cant rely or compare between different dyno's.

Baseline was same dyno, same day. the gains are a good 20 hp. I was aware that they can vary wildly so I insisted on it
I was just hoping that their dyno was a bit more optimistic so I could quote 180+ as a figure, D'oh
Wow those stock header tubes must be pretty narrow. It's a crime what kawasaki did to neuter these bikes.

Nice, 03 models are the best graphics after the 08 model IMHO, how is your credit card - feeling healthy?h.b.bear wrote:Just bought my new toy today through the help and advise of Kawadave(Dave) and comments from other members about these bikes.
