help, i'm being followed by my elbows!?
I am finally sick and tired of the ninja-twist ( you know, twist in seat and raise arm to see under it) when trying to see anything behind me apart from my elbows.
I have found the kawasaki does mirror extenders for the er6f but they run out at $100 a pair, and ebay has them for about 90 bucks plus post!
FFS, they are 40mm long link parts in alloy, how hard can they be to make!
has anyone got a supplier for sensible money? or do i have to draw and machine my own?

Go bar end mirrors ...

I wasnt a fan of bar ends until I tried them. Now I wouldn't have anything else. Look better, work better.

Depends on the type. Mine dont stick out any further than the bar ends.seiko1 wrote:and increase your width for lane splittingdickfaber wrote:may work ok, but look shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!

Re: help, i'm being followed by my elbows!?
well, looked on the internet, and found some plans for ones that fit in the factory position but hang down
http://homepages.slingshot.co.nz/~shane ... %20See.pdf
. redrew the drawing so that they are inline and made them on the oldest mill at work one sunday with some offcut aluminuim scrap. rough job, but they work and add 40mm to the mirror. nice and i can see more behind me. I am deciding whether to have another go at it and make a set of 50mm extenders, and actually get these ones anodised black.
cost about $20 (including new bolts to mount them up)
time around 4 hours of farting around
satisfaction in not spending $100 - priceless
when i have some time i'll post some pics of the rough job.
