mirrors

Post by mick12 »

Looking for smaller bodied mirrors to fit a 12r i want them to be lower than standard so they look more sporty and sit maybe lower than the screen it doesnt realy matter if they mount into the standard holes or mount into the base 14r mirrors look ok but still have a large body any ideas
If it aint broke don't fix it just gain more horsepower

...zx10/zx6r mirrors go on a 12R

went from this std setup for the A model
Image

to this with the Zx6/10 mirrors...

they fit on the std mirror mounting pad but the back bolt hole is out by about 4mm
(its closer to the front)...I just drilled another hole in the fairing mount
GOTTA LUV the 12R!!

I found these while tring to find afm mirrors for the Gumby. I forget how much they were but they come from Florida so the exchange rate is in your favour.

I ended up going with something very similar that I stumbled upon in ebay.com.au so you may get lucky there.

I made my mirrors by buying some round auto mirrors and threading a piece of steel rod to fit the screw in points of my stock mirrors. Not a real good picture but you get the idea. They fit past my shoulders and I can actually see behind me. Jim Beam.

If you find any, let me know. I have been thinking about the same thing for the MFP12 now for a while. Smaller, neater mirrors, but I want some that use the OEM mounting holes.....
