Fuggin RTA!

grrrrrr!

So today I went to the RTA to go from red Ps to Green.. they tell me im still suspended till the 9th!!!

apparently the higher speeding tickets attract 5 (6 for 45) points which they kindly double dipped the suspecnsion without telling me.. the letter I got in march after it was paid said I was out for 3 months which I did my time now it turns out ive been riding around thinking im in the clear when I wasn't... bah!

this sounds like BS to me but I am pretty sure no matter who I complain to will just say I have to sit it out :/

If I have to wait an extra 3 months more for Greens I am gonna fire up the trusty chainsaw

what really pisses me off is is all cos of the speed restrictions for the Ls and Ps here.. woulda only been 17 over otherwise :/

The real bad news is going to be when they tell you that you still have 6 mths to go on your red P's. The time served on your suspention will not count as time served on your red P's and will have to be made up. My brother just had the same shit pulled on him.

I just think its fuggin BS how u can have a suspension longer than what an official govt letter says u do.. heh whats the penalty riding on a suspended lic? I've been all over the place including a big trek up north n back.. it doesn't make sense to me cos i've gone past plenty of fuzz on the road n I thought they have fancy cameras that fone home for details n stuff.. maybe I was just lucky.. heh its not as if I intentionally been running around when I wasn't meant to

I thought you had to go back to the RTA to renew your licence after a suspension????....Last time I lost mine I was 17 (touch wood)....Seem's a bit odd they would just give you a date....

My son did the same thing... lost his licence with the coppers on the spot for 3 months..... 92 in a 60
3 months later he went to the RTA paid $44 for a new licence and a week later got a letter saying he was now loosing his licence for 3 months for an RTA points suspension for the same offence We checked it out and no Solicitor would take it on......... Farken RTA, law unto themselves
