My Girl has Massive Cans - NWS

Post by smithy5 »

Not that there is much wrong with having massive cans, but the ZX14 stockers are a bit fugly IMO...........

I'm after something better looking and sounding........... I can't justify the expense of a full system, so i'll be looking for slipons. At this stage i'm keen on the M4 slip ons, but open to other suggestions and opinions..... cheers.....

Listen and look at the M4 here..........

Took a while, but I finally replaced my girls cans with Delkevic Stainless Steel dual Slip on's

I would have preferred Akro's, but I couldn't justify the expense and many of the other brands didn't impress me.

I had seen the Delkevic on ebay for a while but was unsure of their quality and sound, untill I saw tham on a ZX14 last week. Well they arrived on Monday and I fitted them on Tuesday. I'm very happy with the apparent quality and the cost ($599 delivered) The sound good with the baffles still in, louder than stock with a bit of a rumble in the note. I'll take the baffles out on the weekend and see how much louder they are. And I was able to keep my centre stand which I thought was going to be an issue.

Here's a couple of crappy Pic's. I'll take some decent Pic's in the daylight and after I give the bike a good clean.

I didn't actually weigh the stock ones or the new ones, but I reckon it would be close to "shitloads" :D I couldn't believe how heavy the stockers were. The new ones would be less than half the weight :o

I took the baffles this arvo when I got home from work, very impressed with the new note, loud, without being obnoxious  I didn't have time for a decent ride, but I didn't notice any backfiring while reving or during the couple of laps in the street. I keep an eye on it and let you know Steve.

It is when you bypass/ block the air injection system.
