Also active aero is illegal is nearly all classes of motorsport bet yeah if GP allowed it (don't know if there is a rule against it) i think they would have it.
F1 would have it for shaw good gains to be had see PF forum for further discussion.

Re: Has this been considered.....?
Dunno if it is a fair comparison, but according to two different dynos (years apart too)
, my ZRX1200 has one more horsepower than my ZZR1100, and by my seat of the pants a lot more torque, BUT the ZRX is 35km/h slower due to aerodynamics I would guess. Gearing may be a factor too.

2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R
Yeah I like Kawasakis.

The zxr 750 had a little one at the rear. Cant imagine it actually made any difference.

Why would you want something else attached to the bike thats going
to damage you in an off
to damage you in an off

Policy - Find something simple.....and Complicate it!
Re: Has this been considered.....?
Yeah the ZXR had one, some people call it a grab rail or pillion handle, us owners know better, it's a spoiler.

Re: Has this been considered.....?
I was just about to go and have a look for this bike......caused some serious conniptions in the bike racing scene in UnZud back in the day !

This wasn't the only 'winged' bike that hit the scene over there either....John Britten's first effort at building a bike - well before the Britten race bike we all know - used a big old Denco V-twin speedway motor and hand-laid Britten bodywork. I have some stories about this bike in the library somewhere.....got some good pictures as well, will see if I can dig them up. This thing had wings / winglets on it and some serious aerodynamic bodywork ! Think it was called the Aero ? something like that anyway.
The wings on that bike didn't work either !!

Re: Has this been considered.....?
I read an article in one magazine a few years ago, that the old 'duck-billed' Suzuki MotoGP bikes front fairing was designed to help with downforce in trying to keep the front end down. They're doing a lot better without it now though

Basic physics and aerodynamics will show you that a spoiler would not work on a motorcycle unless it was for drag racing only. As soon as you leaned over the down force would be transfered to a force pushing you away from the corner. If one has about seven shots of Jim beam with a fine brew then stands on ones head while masterbating it will all become perfectly perfect. Cheers.
