Not a chance , it will be at a real track competing, even if its not a real front runner, just having it out there will be the pinnical, then & only then will the restro be complete..

Some more elbow grease and copious amounts of paint stripper have achieved a pretty satisfying result this morning. The fork lowers were painted grey and, under the grey, was a further coat of black. Now back to shiny as they were when the bike was built (albeit with a few scratches and stone chips that merely serve to give them "cred")

I also stripped the front wheel yesterday in preparation for the fitment of new H/D spokes. So now both wheels are ready.

And I took the opportunity to clean the front hub and hit it with a fresh coat of gloss black.
