Wrecking 2008 ZX-10 (pictures added)

Post by StuMiller »

Hi all,

I'm about to take hold of a smashed 2008 ZX-10 and will start to sell off spares if you're keen. I'll have better access to inspect it in another week or so.

From the quick look I had, wheels, swingarm, engine, forks, brakes etc all look to be intact, the frame has snapped behind the headstem.

I'll put up a picture shortly.

Let me know, cheers. :D

I don't know the story behind the damage, I'll try to find out.

The bike goes to auction in another week or so. My brother in law is the manager so I should have a good chance of "winning". In the meantime, I'll try to check out the tank, rims, and other parts that might be wanted by others.

I'll put up more pictures when I get a chance.

Cheers.

Not sure it will polish out

I think the official term for that is fucked ;) Not sure about the forks, how he'd break the frame without giving the forks a decent wack I have no idea

I'm going to look at it again today, so I'll take a few more photos and post them up.

Any specific requests?

Cheers, Stu.

I've been able to gather up a little more info on the ZX10.
Apparently it hit a car, and by the look of the pictures, rather hard.
The fron rim is buckled, the forks are not go and the frame has a small gap where it probably shouldn't be. The swing arm has a slight bend in it, not too sure about the engine. In my opionion, not worth buying......
