Gumby repair bill?
So, the poor Gumby had a bit of a tumble at the Creek. Long story short, she went down on her left side on the gravel. Obviously won't be covered by insurance (dammit!!!) so my poor hip pocket is going to take the hit.
I'll take it somewhere to get a repair quote when I get a chance, but in the meantime, I thought some of you guys might have some input. Any ideas at a ballpark figure to replace the fairings and repair the rest of the damage? I'll try to attach some pictures (sorry about the dodgy phone photos), but essentially, the condition is:
-Engine runs fine, from what I can tell
-Damage to front, left, lower fairings
-Dent in fuel tank, bit of gravel rash right up the back near the pillion seat
-Snapped LH footpeg, gear shift lever, LH mirror
-crash took most of the brunt of the impact
Have any of you guys have a similar experience with you road bike? Ideally I'd get it repaired to the way it was, but I know that OEM fairings aren't cheap and I've been told that the impact on the crash may have bent the frame, in which case it may not be road registerable? If it's going to be too expensive/hard to bring back to original then I may look at turning it into a track bike, if that's a viable option.
Thanks for you opinions, guys...

I think you would be looking at around $3,000 - $4,000 using OEM replacement parts and that's if the frame is OK... These guys do good work and will quote it for you if you can trailer it Smithfield http://www.mototechaustralia.com.au/

Thanks guys! Smithy, cheers for that, Smithfield isn't too far from me so as soon as I figure how to secure a bike upright in a horse float, I'll be good to go. Stevo, that website is awesome, might come in handy.
If all else fails I'll turn her into a track bike... then buy another one for a road bike... then a new car to tow the track bike to the track

You could fix your fairings for a lot less if you find someone who can repair and repaint them rather than replace everything. The only part of the fairing that needs replacing is the nose cone by the looks of the pics. As for the peg, it's a good excuse to get a set of rear-sets.

Re: Gumby repair bill?
I'm in the market for new fairing too atm. I have found these guys
http://www.ozzymotorcyclefairings.com.au/
Has anyone had experience with them?? Aparently they make their own fairings (not chinese) and including paint and delivery for under the $700 mark.
