If you ever need to replace a L/H Welch plug, the one behind the Engine Mount

1.5 hr's was our estimate, I have a pit which made it a lot easier.............NOT!!!!!!timmyrocks wrote:been there before ended up pulling the engine out.........

We did the water pump, the thermostat and then the welchy.....ten hr's and three trips to supercheap later.......
Ladder into pit collapsed, smashed the two flouro's and smashed the shit out of my knee, a bit
of htfu and lots of beer....all done

What was wrong with the welsh plug?? (other than the fact i am assuming you drove a screwdriver through it when you were removing it?)

Radiator was emptying out in minutes ffs, they had just driven 750 klm's from Geelong to here, so the timing was
impecable

Just bought myself a similar set to this, would have made getting to that bastard bolt
inside the mount a lot easier.

I had one to replace in the back of the head in the ex's corolla (old model with N/S engine)...ended up punching a hole in the firewall and bashed it in with a big socket on a long extension bar...
