if you're a coffee nut
There are good deals on the Breville Smart Grinder at the moment. Under $250 delivered. Usual retail is $300
http://www.e61.com.au/breville-smart-grinder/
I got mine cheaper from
http://www.talkcoffee.com.au/home/
but you need 10 posts on CoffeeSnobs to get the cheap price.
Looks to be as good as the Rancilio Rocky but 1/2 the price. Close to choking my machine and I can still grind finer.
(Can get shims from Breville if its not fine enough for you)
If you're not a coffee nut this is all meaningless.
If you ride a Ducati its the thing that makes the whirring noise before they bring you your low fat soy mugachino

Yep, Marty I WAS culturally ignorant of the mugacino until the day I ordered a capaccino in a mug at PITS, we were all gas bagging and then the waiter brought over my drink and it went something like this:smithy5 wrote:tim wrote:what's a mugachino?![]()

Re: if you're a coffee nut
I've got a nice little KRUPS machine that can use ESE pods.
I don't make enough at home (a double-shot in the morning) to warrant grinding my own - the ESE pods make it easy.
Oh and a stand-alone milk-frother - don't have to worry about getting the steaming just right

If you have no fear, you're not going fast enough.
