Grammar

Post by laidback »

Now I know I'm getting old and a lot of things that used to slide by without notice now annoy the shit out of me. :?

On the local news tonight a reporter was talking about the moon this morning and said that it was unique..."because it was different".

No way I was gunna get up early (before frost melts) so I just watched it on Google...and I can replay or move back and forward. 8)

There are no degrees in the adjective "unique". Either something is unique, that is, there is only one of it, or it's not. It can't be "more" unique, or "most" unique"

I'm pretty sure the moon " note the only one we have" is not unique or different as I'm tipping it is 1/ the same moon & 2/ it's been through this sequence before
