Giant AC, they are a fantastic all round bike, size is determined by seat height ;)

Seriously though, what purpose is the mountain bike to suit? just standard bike riding(footpath,/road?)? 26 inch should do i would have thought?

Or are you looking at serious trailbike riding>??

I havent commented cause i know he can only push one at a time. ;)

Plus he'd need to buy a bigger trailer before fitting both on at the same time

Go to your local bike shop and have a chat . Get them to give you an idea of size .
With MTBs and their sloped top tube , some makers have sm med & large , then there is massive adjustment with seat post and head stem etc .
I am not too familiar with the latest gear , but if its Sram stuff it needs to be XO . The 9 and lower in the range have had troubles , I believe .
Great bargains in second hand bicycles . Dual suspension stuff is awesome these days
Ummmm let me see
