1995 ZXR 750 Help required

Post by blotty »

Hi Guys ,
Im looking for someone in melbourne who knows about this bike and is after some weekend work, paid of course .
I have had it a few months and it started having troubles starting , i took it to a shop and all they did was oil change filter, air filter , new battery and its still no good , next trip they replace parts in the carby's , more money still no good .
It will crank over fine but just wont fire , when i push start it i can get it to go so im a bit lost . Im no expert at all so if someone want to make some cash on the side and get this damn bike so i can start it that would be fantastic.
Im not in any rush so if it took you a few weeks to do thats cool , i just want to get him going without going broke in the process
Cheers

will it start at all with the starter? Like onces its warm. Sounds like you have a power drop to the coil when your cranking it over giving a week spark.
I love my new ZX10. It scares the shit out of me.

Yeah , once it has been running for a few mins or so it will start easily , no choke or throttle .
If its been sitting at work all day though its a pig to start and it usually needs a push

Sounds like some exploring is needed, multimeter in hand.
