That is a BIG call. What percentage of the police force do you think are either General Duties or Traffic cops???? No where near as many as peopl would think. For all we know she may be CIB, CPU, FI, PLO, Comms, anything. And if you genuinely believe that cops, other than Traffic cops, enjoy booking road users, then you guys have NO idea (NONE) of what cops job is or involves. The reality is that the average officer HATES traffic. They would prefer it is enforced by a government body other than them so they can actually deal the bigger challenges.

There are some other details but this leaves it very much open to interpretation. Is making a uturn across solid white lines dangerous? Well it depends on the circumstances and the view of those in the jury based on the circumstances of the case. So unfortunately it is anything but black or white.

I suggest that if hanging a u turn over double white lines is NOT dangerous, then why have the fucking lines there at all? It absolutely is 100% illegal and given we are the nanny state that must make it much more dangerous than in any other state even.

Matty, her actions regardless of intent, were illegal and has resulted in the death of a person, I bet my left nut if it was me that hit a copper I wouldn't be getting off scot free, so why is it that a copper can hit a motorcyclist and not have a case to answer? I have received an email incidentally in regards to the further charges she faced and a possible memorial ride, will release details when things are a little more confirmed but if looks markedly like she will have NO charges to answer at all!

Jono, the question you have ask yourself/ family, what is a suitable punishment for what happened to your son. Don't you get to write a victims impact statement where you could suggest what you want as a punishment. Based on what you have said here I think that you are reasonable and would be able to suggest a punishment that is fair and just

I can write a VIS and have requested to do so, so far I have been left out and not informed.

Same problem for the family concerned in the OP, they have asked for a transcript and been refused, too graphic evidently, ditto with the further charges, seems the OPP decided they wren't necessary and again declined to inform the family concerned. It fucking stinks!!
