Just buy a GT240 video card, doesn't need a secondary power connector, is low power consumption at about 50w max. and about the cost of replacing your current video card. Assuming your using a pci-e slot and not an older agp slot.

If it takes SD Ram it won't have PCI-e

Ah snap, well i have an 8800GTX here sitting doing nothing. Works fine when connected to vga through a dvi-> vga converter, but gets artifacts when you use straight dvi. was the reason i ended up just getting the upgrade circle happening and got a newer card. Also got a nforce 5200 too, but that ain't exactly "fast"

DVI sockets are a right royal pain in the arse
The pin contacts are inadequate for the pins!!!!
Often have probs and have to wiggle the plug to get colour

I recently built a puter for a friend for $450 (including expensive postage). Not bad considering it has a dual core, DDR3, and a decent board as well. Amazing what you can find on special eventually i will try and make one for under $370. But yes, i do hate having to play the upgrade game. I always forget the exact model of things . HMMM
