I really think after reading that, lloking at the old pics that could be off the net anyware and the fact his feedback score is 0
Im sure it is legit

I love the parts "401 where made and now demand prices well over $100,000+. "why is it listed for 40k classified then? and im sure it could be shipped over here buy him for little less that 60k

and

"Dunedin, New Zealand yes NZ, I'm living here in Sydney but Ducati is in dry storage in Dunedin so the purchaser has the pick up expense on top of price of bike if international sale. When price has been reached/sold I will travel to NZ and perpair the Ducati into a create/pallet at a reputable motorcycle shop in Dunedin so as to take good care of her. "
"When price has been reached/sold " its a classified ad how is the price gonna be reached? thats auction talk

Be careful of Aussie customs and DOTAR's the bastards got the better of me when I was trying to bring my Ducati 996S home from the middle east resulting in me having to do a rush sale ($5500 including trailer and a spare set of magnesium wheels  ). You might even need to be a registered importer to bring the bike in and tax will be on the assessed customs value not what you paid for it, otherwise its a sweet looking Duc.

If it is genuine and you are an aussie interested in it, you'd be better off getting the guy to import it himself, register it and then sell it to you so that it would qualify as a personal import and be a lot easier to deal with. Even then you have a lot of jerking around to do with the importation, but there's even more so if you don't have it coming in as a personal one.
