Have you ridden a lot in the rain with it yet ?

Because the charging function of the cradle will fail eventually.
I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..
If it's got wheels or tits, it's gonna give you trouble !

Oh yes indeedy Im not a fair weather rider :)

Had it on the 'storm' who I did 70'000 ks in 3 years on...the Zed has just hit 3580 in 1 month ...& the whole last weekend up on the oxley was very wet & muddy (pic below lol ) ...& I leave it on when we wash the bike....for $200 its been great.

I have heard of others who have had the locking screw stuff up & they have to tape it on ..but so far so good here.
Another mate has one of the 1st ones from aldi with the FM headset ...his is going great too & has been installed on 3 of his bikes :)

It has its limits of course...1 way point sux..but for what I need it for I can work around that fine :)

Must be you Ron, obviously too slow and allowing water to run into the connections instead of keeping it out with speed :D

Good to see yours is still working, natty ....mine turned out to be a POS.
Wouldn't talk to the update website .. wouldn't charge via cradle because the contacts corroded ....
Took it back for a refund and bought a Zumo 550.

natty wrote:Thats an easy one....I only need it to find an address of a unkown motel etc when we are away on trips... or to get us as quickly thru a city as possible ...so we can get on with riding on fun roads :)
Part of the fun of exploring new places is taking wrong turns....never know what awesome bits of roads you might just stumble upon

I brought this a while back & had it on my old bike...never found fault with it for the cheap price :)
Welcome Natty, I'm new myself

Do they still sell them, I think it would be very handy for me, I have a 250R, Does yours show the time as well, I have a thing with knowing what the time is :?

Your ride looks awesome too 8)

They sure do..but like with everything with Aldi you have to wait til the next batch comes out & be there b4 the shop opens :)

You can mount a car navi to your bike if you install a power source ..& remember they have no locking device so could fall off during your ride & are not water proof :)

Yeh, just edited my post as I realized they're not waterproof and the mounting prolly wouldn't b good enough. I'll keep my eyes peeled for their next batch

Cheers :)
