Poor bugger. I wonder if he could have been saved if he was riding with someone else. Those bloody wire rope fences might work on cars, but they're the worst invention ever for bikes. Condolences to his family

The spur is policed to buggery so riders go elsewhere... think you'll see more of this, sure hope not but i'm betting we will.

I'd bet your left testicle you're right about that, unfortunatley, it will make fuck all difference, they'll still roll them out in ever increasing numbers.

Passed through the Black Spur the past two weekends and hardly a bike to be seen. On the other hand there would have been 60 or so bikes parked in the main
street of Yea on Sunday when I passed through and quite a few big group rides up that way. (At one stage it was hard to keep groups separated and I think we had someone else's tail rider for a while).

There were lots of riders out there yesterday.
I was on that road about 4:30pm and thought I shouldn't have been there, that late in the day. The sun being low in the sky caused me to be unsighted/blinded in some of the corners and had to back right off. Wasn't much fun.

Sincere condolences to the family & friends.

News just to hand, he hit a farm fence not a WRB. The gospel according to Emerald police, I did a ride by the road on google maps too, no wrb on that road that I could see, some very small w beam installations was it as far as roadside furniture.
